Dr Sen was guilty of messages and set up bank accounts for Maoist India's Supreme Court rebels bail to leading specialist for public health and human rights activist, Dr Binayak Sen has granted.In December sentenced a court in the central State of Chhattisgarh of to life imprisonment for helping Maoist rebels.
The lower court had found guilty him messages and setting up bank accounts for the rebels, who are active in many parts of India.
The Government on it freely described right groups in India and abroad.
The Court in Chhattisgarh guilty was Dr. Sen and three others of treason and sedition. Dr. Sen, who had been on bail out since May 2009, was arrested.
The Supreme Court gave no reason for granting bail to Dr Sen and left it in Chattisgarh set the terms and conditions of the bail the Court of justice.
"We are a democratic country." He may be a sympathizer of [the Maoists] but it does not make him guilty of sedition, "The Court said." "He is beyond a sympathiser... nothing about."
Dr Sen was first of BILASPUR city in May 2007 for alleged links with Maoist leader Narayan Sanyal, arrested whom he in prison visit.
India's Supreme Court ordered two years later his release on bail.
FrankDr. Sen, a trained pediatrician, says that he does not support the Maoists.
A senior member of the local unit of a leading Indian human rights group, the people's Union for civil liberties, he worked with tribal people in Chhattisgarh.
Dr. Sen also Jonathan Mann Award for global health and human rights for his poor and tribal communities received.
His efforts in health programmes helped reduce child mortality in the State and deaths, diarrhea and dehydration, say local physicians.
Dr Sen has been outspoken about the methods, where the Government tries against the Maoists in Chhattisgarh by supporting a controversial civilian militia of local tribals Salwa Judum called.
He has expressed his deep concern about rising inequality in India despite the economic recovery.
