New York taxi drivers get rate of your life - la!

23 April 2011 last updated at 23: 44 GMT New York taxi (file image) New York taxi driver Mohammed Alam has the price of your food collected$ 5,000 (£ 3,000) to drive in the United States to Los Angeles.

Investment banker John Belitsky, said he and friend Dan Wübben wanted to do something "magical".

She decided for a taxi, LA and struck with Mr Alam after looking after him at the LaGuardia Airport business.

The 2,448-mile trip took six days and stop in Las Vegas the friends won $2,000 included.

Mr Belitsky, of Leonia, New Jersey, and Mr Wübben, Queens, New York, have not yet said how they want to get back on the East Coast.

But Mr Alam says, a friend the drive back home will help him.

The epic journey was documented by Mr Belitsky on his Twitter page.

On 22 April, after their winning streak in Las Vegas, he tweeted: "woke up Alam, shower of $100 notes at sunrise."

New York News blog NYU local estimated that the trip would cost $17,000 (£ 10,000), if the counter for the entire trip had gone.
