New Thai Cambodian border clash

Cambodia said that the incident at dusk, began as Thai troops moved on Cambodian territory, named firing rockets and rifles and Cambodian troops force retaliation.

Thailand said his force was first raised on routine patrol in the area and Cambodia.

A Thai spokesman told the BBC that a soldier had been killed and at least seven injured. Other reports are two Thai death toll.

The Governor of that province of Surin, SERM Chainarong, said that the authorities preparing the 5,000 people from the area were evacuated.

Tensions have been high - with troops and artillery pleasantly on both sides of the border - since four days of deadly fighting Preah Vihear temple, about 200 km east of Ta Krabey (124 km) in February of the eleventh century.
