The film the tells the story of the aftermath of the crash in 1958 killed 23 people, including eight players from the team.
Sandy Busby said he was "disgusted" with the appearance of the father, who was seriously injured in the crash.
A BBC spokesman said the film, shown on BBC two on Sunday, "a drama no documentary" was.
The drama focuses on Manchester United manager Jimmy Murphy, played by David Tennant and as he rebuilt the team during Sir Matt, played by Dougray Scott, recovered from his injuries.
