Westwood WINS Indonesian masters

Top spot will reclaim the 38-year-old English if failed the heritage tournament win Luke Donald that he leads after three rounds.

Westwood has cut a five-stroke lead which was in the last round but, in one fell swoop on a tense day in Jakarta.

But three birdies was home to get enough for a total 19 under three clear of Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee.

Jaidee ended with seven birdies a great bogey free round of 65 at the Australian Marcus both, Siddikur of Bangladesh, Korea's Park Hyun bin and Thailand's Thitiphun Chuayprakong finished three shots further back.

Westwood, world number one for 17 weeks to German Martin Kaymer replaced him in February, got off to a fine start with a birdie at the first.

But connect a bogey on the second and then eight straight PARS field allows.

Westwood missed plenty of putts but a birdie on the 11th and 12th and a birdie three on the 16th put him on the brink of victory.

He had to wait to celebrate, but how game because of the threat played Flash with Westwood his tee shot on that last was suspended.

But after a spell in the Club House, Westwood again in the rain to a par five on the 18th.
