Spanish journalist held in Libya

24 April 2011 last updated at 13: 03 GMT Manu Brabo (3 March 2011) Mr Brabo did not know if he could be released Spanish Photojournalist of Libyan leader Muammar Al-Qadhafi loyal troops arrested has telephoned his parents from a military prison in Tripoli.

Manu Brabo's father, Manuel Varela, told TVE his son had said he was fed will and was "in very good condition".

Mr Brabo was one of four journalists, on 5 April missed during coverage of the outskirts of Brega.

The others were James Foley and Clare Morgana Gillis, both Americans, and Anton Hammerl, one in South Africa.

On Thursday, Ms. Gillis called their parents in Connecticut.

She told them she with Mr Brabo and Mr. Foley was arrested, but said Mr Hammerl not been with them when they were arrested.

Mr Varela told radio Cadena Ser, that his son illegal for the input Libya and shoot without permission was imprisoned.

Mr Brabo did not know if he could be released.

"I asked him if he was mistreated or had had no problems, and he said no, that he was a military prison where other journalists and they were talking to each other and the encouragement to each other" said Mr Varela. "He was even well-fed be."

Two photojournalists, Tim Hetherington, and Chris Hondros, were killed in an attack on Wednesday in the besieged city of Misurata.
