Southern Sudan troops in attack

April 21, 2011 last updated at 00: 28 GMT were at least 20 South Sudanese army soldiers in a clash with rebel fighters killed.

A spokesman for the Sudanese Army South, the SPLA, said the soldiers came as rebels attack village in the Unity State.

The State oil-producing is in the North of the region, which will be an independent country in July after the last petition for a referendum.

There were a number of recent attacks in the region.
