Palestinians ready to govern: UN

"In six areas in which the UN which is most involved, government functions are now sufficient for a functioning Government of a State," according to the report by Robert Serry, published UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East peace process (Unsco).

It says the Palestinian Authority - which self government in the West Bank has - restricted areas such as governance, rule of law, health, and has built up social services, and infrastructure expects up to a height of a State.

The PA has to a deadline, September is ready for the sovereignty, with the hope of pressuring the international community recognition of a Palestinian State on all of the territory occupied will be Israel in 1967, including Gaza - the PA President of Mahmoud Abbas has no control.

Hamas - the Gaza regulates - has any deal that recognizes Israel.
