Kerr murder: third man arrested

8 April 2011, last updated at 20: 41 GMT Van being removed van was stopped near the town of Beragh, County Tyrone police has arrested a third man in connection with the murder of Constable Ronan Kerr.

The 33-year old man was arrested in the area of Omagh, and is from the village.

Police were given to extra five days, to make two other men over the murder of PSNI officer in question.

Brian Carron, 26, from the area of Dungannon, was arrested by the police in Scotland on Tuesday and a 40-year old man was outside Omagh on Thursday.

Both men are being held at Antrim police.

Constable Kerr, 25, was killed as a device, exploded as he drove his car from his home in Omagh on Saturday.

The 40-year old man arrested as a van stopped on Thursday close to the junction of Beragh on the Ballygawley route in County Tyrone.

Weapons and explosives, including four Kalashnikov rifles were in the area of Coalisland in County Tyrone on Tuesday night by the police investigation the police found the murder.
