In Donaldson, arrest murder probe

12 April 2011 last updated at 21: 52 GMT Denis Donaldson Denis Donaldson was murdered in April 2006, informer Denis Donaldson have arrested the Irish police a 70-year old man in connection with the murder of IRA.

The man is made in Letterkenny Garda station, County Donegal in question.

Mr Donaldson, who was former head of the Sinn Féin management at Stormont, dead shot in a remote cottage in Doochary, County Donegal in April 2006.

No one has ever the 56-year-old's murder accused were.

Four months before his death, Lord Donaldson of Sinn Féin was expelled, after he publicly announced that he had worked as an informer within the Republican movement for more than 20 years.

He had lived in Donegal, as he conceded that he was a paid spy.

Mr Donaldson was last seen on April 3, 2006, about 24 hours before he was assassinated by the Irish police (year) in Glenties.

His body was a member of the public, discovered, noted to open his door and dialed 999.

He had two shot gun wounds, one was on the head and one for his arm.

Up to 72 hours can be held for the man in custody. It is considered the first arrest by the police investigating the murder.
