The project has alarmed scientists, conservation, who point out that many previous species introductions to native wildlife have been disastrous.

But Sir Richard team claims that both are the lemurs which come from zoos, and domestic animals in order it.

Introduction of species on a continent to another almost unprecedented for the conservation of fishery resources is found.

Lemurs are found only on the African island of Madagascar and threatens many species are mainly due to deforestation.

The threat has worse grown since the fall of the Government of President Marc Ravalomanana of Madagascar two years ago, the illegal logging to flourish to allowed.

"We have to try and keep lemurs helps, and unfortunately is overthrown in Madagascar because of the Government the space for lemurs is less and less," Sir Richard told BBC News from its Caribbean property.

"Here on mosquito Island, we have a beautiful rain forest – we brought experts from South Africa, and they say it would be an absolutely perfect location where lemurs can be protected and race."

Black tie and Red Ruffed lemur are two of the species in the plan lemurs. Both are in the red list of threatened species.

Mosquito (also: mosquito) Iceland is one of the two, the Sir Richard in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) has. Several luxury houses, including that the head of the pure business empire itself, be it built.

If they happen in areas that already have been altered by human activity, there should be a controlled trial period with continuous assessment.

And Christoph Schwitzer, which work of the IUCN SSC Primate specialist group, said coordinates of Madagascar, the Madagascar really in a kind of captivity is kept.

One of his most important advisors is Lara Mostert one of the managers of the sanctuary Monkeyland Primate, a South African institution, where many species of monkeys and a patch of forest living lemur.

She said, Sir Richard lemurs would have a much better life than in zoos where she currently - some she said life in the 'appalling' conditions.

"Unfortunately, primates have become more like a business - the animals are goods and apart from views that they don't really have an identity," she said.

"And this is one of the things I like about Sir Richard plan - it is not for sale."

She thinks that the animals on mosquito island will thrive.

Sir Richard sees the project as conservation benefits, envisaging that at some point in the future, again of mosquito Island Madagascar could be lemurs.

But rearing in captivity programs already exist for this purpose.

Lara Mostert was Sir Richard's son "a lemur wanted after he the film ' Madagascar '".

The plan was approved by the BVI Government and seems to go ahead despite the concerns.

The first program, black binding is consisting of about 30 endemic to Madagascar, within a few weeks, come from zoos in Sweden, South Africa and Canada moved.
