red Ruffed Lemur is one which threatened many slides towards the brink of extinction, as logging is Sir Richard Branson lemurs in the Caribbean, where are they import wild life in the forest on its islands. The project has alarmed scientists, conservation, who point out that many previous species introductions to native wildlife have been disastrous.
But Sir Richard team claims that both are the lemurs which come from zoos, and domestic animals in order it.
Introduction of species on a continent to another almost unprecedented for the conservation of fishery resources is found.
Lemurs are found only on the African island of Madagascar and threatens many species are mainly due to deforestation.
The threat has worse grown since the fall of the Government of President Marc Ravalomanana of Madagascar two years ago, the illegal logging to flourish to allowed.
"We have to try and keep lemurs helps, and unfortunately is overthrown in Madagascar because of the Government the space for lemurs is less and less," Sir Richard told BBC News from its Caribbean property.
"Here on mosquito Island, we have a beautiful rain forest – we brought experts from South Africa, and they say it would be an absolutely perfect location where lemurs can be protected and race."
Black tie and Red Ruffed lemur are two of the species in the plan lemurs. Both are in the red list of threatened species.
Mosquito (also: mosquito) Iceland is one of the two, the Sir Richard in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) has. Several luxury houses, including that the head of the pure business empire itself, be it built.
His other island is Necker, is home to an eco-tourism resort, where a stay for around $2,000 (1,200 £) price is per day.
Continue reading the most important storyit is crucial that this step not who send wrong message to people that there is perhaps a good idea to keep lemurs as pets "end quote Christoph Schwitzer IUCN Primate section of the plan has aroused much when local interest", with the bulletin boards of BVI news sites sums comments for and against and politician locks horns.
And it affected conservation scientists from BBC News.
"Maybe [Sir Richard] has some people say, it's OK - but on the island, and how they can be what other life affected?" asked Simon Stuart, Chairman of the International Union for the conservation of nature species survival Commission (IUCN SSC).
"It's pretty funny - I would alarmed about it and want some assurances."
Dr. Stuart suggested that the project developed the IUCN code for interchanges, to make sure that the repetition of disastrous events such as the introduction of rabbits and floor could clash with toads to Australia.
Among other things, it means that resettlement in natural ecosystems should never be done.
If they happen in areas that already have been altered by human activity, there should be a controlled trial period with continuous assessment.
In the past, it says: "The damage from harmful introductions in natural systems far outweighs the benefit it derived".
Sifakas can jump, but not some local people swim - still, escaped worried about themAnd Christoph Schwitzer, which work of the IUCN SSC Primate specialist group, said coordinates of Madagascar, the Madagascar really in a kind of captivity is kept.
"The project would only then acceptable, if he intends, in a controlled environment - is that, in a fenced enclosure keep them where they can not become a problem on the local fauna and flora," he said.
"It is very important that this step not who send wrong message to people that there is perhaps a good idea to keep lemurs as pets for their own personal pleasure."
And he warned that it could impact on the local wildlife.
While some species of lemurs to a diet fruits are true, others will come into effect, which is, like lizards and other small animals.
"Can birds nest there, and if there would be some endemic, dating back to their eggs - or can it small invertebrates, the it for, would go", said Dr. Schwitzer.
Necker and mosquito Island are home to reptiles such as the stout iguana, the turnip-tailed Gecko, and the dwarf Gecko, the local conservationists as specific concerns identified.
Sir Richard told BBC News, an environmental impact assessment for mosquito island; were have been carried out but said critics in the British Virgin Islands, that it does not review the "introduction of exotic species" contains.
Social benefitsSir Richard motivation for wanting to introduce the animals is not entirely clear.
You seem unlikely, that make a significant difference to its eco tourism business.
Black bands are lemurs first arrivals - Adaptive feeder with a penchant for bird's eggsOne of his most important advisors is Lara Mostert one of the managers of the sanctuary Monkeyland Primate, a South African institution, where many species of monkeys and a patch of forest living lemur.
She said, Sir Richard lemurs would have a much better life than in zoos where she currently - some she said life in the 'appalling' conditions.
"Unfortunately, primates have become more like a business - the animals are goods and apart from views that they don't really have an identity," she said.
"And this is one of the things I like about Sir Richard plan - it is not for sale."
She thinks that the animals on mosquito island will thrive.
Sir Richard sees the project as conservation benefits, envisaging that at some point in the future, again of mosquito Island Madagascar could be lemurs.
But rearing in captivity programs already exist for this purpose.
Lara Mostert was Sir Richard's son "a lemur wanted after he the film ' Madagascar '".
The plan was approved by the BVI Government and seems to go ahead despite the concerns.
The first program, black binding is consisting of about 30 endemic to Madagascar, within a few weeks, come from zoos in Sweden, South Africa and Canada moved.
Much more threatened red Ruffed lemur follow the, possibly along with some of the Sifakas, famous for their calls and their jump, can follow.
How multiply threats to the diversity of nature all over the world, is one place for maintaining the "extreme schemes" that talk conservationists and even start to implement transport types of place.
But almost without exception, these interchanges take place in the ecological region that animal is, instead of in the middle on the planet.
