The smaller Comair Jet was violent on its wheels spinning see as shower shower of sparks from the point impact fell only after the year 2000 on Monday.
The Paris bound Airbus A380 performed the 495 passengers and 25 crew, Air France said. Comair Jet had 62 passengers and four crew members. No one was hurt.
The flight recorders from both aircraft will be reviewed, investigators said.
The aircraft were taken to a nearby hangar for inspection by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said that it was investigating the incident.
The NTSB said "preliminary reports indicate that the Air France flight 7 struck the left wing tip which left tailplane of Comair flight 293, while the Comair plane was his roles," in a statement.
Air France said that it would cooperate with the investigation.
